What they are...
Lord's Supper
The Lord's Supper was ordained by Jesus to be celebrated by His followers with transformed, clean hearts as a means of...
- remembering His body broken and His blood shed for us on the cross,
- reminding us of our HOPE for His imminent return,
- and longing for the feast we'll one day celebrate with the Lamb.
At Crossroads, we observe and celebrate The Lord's Supper weekly in our 9:00am and 11:00am Worship Gatherings.
Baptism
Here at Crossroads, we view Baptism as a declaration that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for the Christian life. Water baptism is a practical demonstration of a spiritual reality that has already taken place in your life.
Romans 6:1-5
We bury the ‘old life,’ and we rise to walk in a ‘new life’. Baptism is like a wedding ring; it is the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart, a commitment that has to be followed through and lived out on a daily basis. We continue the practice of water baptism today as a symbol of our personal and public identification and union with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
