Praying Over Crossroads Church Corporately

There are 24 sections on this list with several sub points.  They could easily be used as a 24-Hour Prayer Guide.  They are also numbered so that you can use them as a Daily Prayer Guide, praying each day of the month for the request that corresponds with the date.

#1 - Pray for the Persecuted Church throughout the world.

  • Pray they would know how to share the gospel (Eph. 6:19).

  • Their marriages.
  • Their children.
  • Their cultural adjustments and the loneliness of being separated from immediate and close family by continents.
  • That they would have compassion for others.
  • For the management of their time and ministry.
  • That C2 would both personally and corporately be a blessing and encouragement to them-financially, prayerfully, and physically thru correspondence and support when they are in the states.

#10 - Pray for those around the world and in our community who face the evils of the world in a real manner-human trafficking, addiction, poverty (just to name a few).Pray that they come to know the peace and restoration that God can bring to their lives, if they don't already know it.

#11 - Pray for the civil servants and leaders of our country-political, economic and spiritual. Pray for focus in this time of political and cultural chaos.

#12 - Pray for the believers of Crossroads Church (C2).

  • Please pray believers would know the hope God gives (Eph.1:18).
  • Pray the Holy Spirit would strengthen them (Eph.3:16).
  • Please pray believers would know how much God loves them (Eph.3:17).
  • Pray they would know how to share the gospel (Eph.6:19).
  • Please pray believers would fearlessly tell others about Jesus (Eph.6:20).

#13 - Pray that C2 would personally and corporately see everyone with the same love and compassion as Jesus does. Pray for those who don't know Jesus as their Savior and the opportunity for us both PERSONALLY and CORPORATELY to be a witness to them.  Pray for lost spouses, children and parents of our church family.  Pray that they aren't able to go through a day without hearing/seeing the truth of God. Pray for those who persecute us (full or partial).

#14 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, would come to realize the joy of OUR salvation; letting the joy of the Lord be our strength. Pray that we experience God in ways that grow our faith and our passion for Him. Praying for revival in every aspect of our body.

#15 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, would be known for our generosity, our compassion and our desire to be a part of our community. That we would be missional and realize that our mission field is all around us, to see it and act on it rather than just talk about it. To live out our mission statement rather than just quote it.

#16 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, would follow the teachings from Titus 2; discipling and setting examples for each other.

Titus 2:1-8 ESV

But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. [2] Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.[3] Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves too much wine. They are to teach what is good, [4] and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, [5] to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. [6] Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. [7] Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, [8] and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

#17 - Pray that the families of C2 would live out Deuteronomy 6 and Ephesians 5 and 6.  Pray for our marriages, single parents and families.

Deuteronomy 6:5-9 ESV

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. [6] And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. [7] You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. [8] You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. [9] You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Ephesians 5:22-33 ESV

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.[24] Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. [25] Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, [26] that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, [27] so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. [28] In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. [29] For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, [30] because we are members of his body. [31] “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” [32] This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. [33] However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Ephesians 6:1-4 ESV

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. [2] “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), [3] “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” [4] Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

#18 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, would be more aware of God working in our lives and to be aware of opportunities to be used by Him. Pray that God will make us dangerous. Pray for opportunities to be still in His presence.

#19 - Pray that for C2, personally and corporately, prayer would become the default activity of our church; that we can't wait to pray. That we're not afraid to pray with each other or over each other. That our prayers become filled with praises and adoration and not just "needs". Pray to see the power of prayer work among the body of Crossroads.

#20 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, no longer be slaves to sin, to fear or to any other "wave" in life and instead live in the victory, joy, and peace that comes from a life focused on God. (Capture our thoughts, cast our anxieties, be crucified in Christ.)

#21 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, stop living lives of comparison to others, but live a life fully devoted to God; striving to hear "well done good and faithful servant". Pray that we put away our pride and live for Him alone. Pray that we set aside our desire to be "better" or prove ourselves "smarter" than others.

#22 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, abandon ourselves to live lives that reflect the love and holiness of God to the world around us, no matter what that looks like. Pray that we fully use the gifts we've been given by the Spirit in the church for the sake of the Kingdom.

#23 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, run this race to win, for Him. Pray for endurance in the face of anything, perseverance in adversity. Pray for a hunger for His Word, growth and transformation.

#24 - Pray that C2, personally and corporately, would experience ONENESS of The Ekklesiaone God, one body, one mission. Pray that we exemplify not just the meetings of the New Testament church, but that we embody the Spirit of the early church - authentic, organic, holistic. Pray that the church would be sold out, would continue to believe in, trust, follow and support the mission and vision that has been given to the church and cast by our leadership.

#25 - Pray for more authentic, organic, and holistic involvement from the body in Groups, serving the body, outreach and in areas we haven't even considered yet.

#26 - Pray for the visible, tangible vision that has been presented to our C2 family.

  • For the giving of our tithes and offerings, for the financial responsibilities to take care of our properties, our maintenance and utilities, our ministries and our staff.
  • For people to give out of obedience and not obligation, out of compassion and not compulsion, out of generosity and not grudgingly.
  • For the funds needed for the final renovations of the facilities - HVAC units for The Upper Room and finishing the Kitchen...relieving that burden so we can turn our focus wholly on ministry in our body, our community and our world and so we can focus on getting badly needed staff hired.
  • That we are not constrained by perceived limitations the past, finances, fears, numbers or anything else. With God all things are possible. Pray that we don't define or limit God and who He is.

#27 - Pray that organic, missional community thru The Word would be experienced in our Groups, spreading to the community outside our walls.  Pray that more would step up to SERVE as mentors and examples.

#28 - Pray for the corporate gatherings of our body on Sundays and Wednesdays The Ekklesia, Crossroads University, The Morning Worship Experience and MidWeek/Kidz4Christ. Pray that they would be Spirit-led and full of the manifest presence of God, leading to personal and corporate transformation. Pray that we might engage, equip, empower and encourage our flock in fellowship, service and worship thru an atmosphere of energy, excitement and enthusiasm for who God is and what He has done in us and thru us.

#29 - Pray for our students - elementary, middle school, high school and college - that their hearts might be captured by the grace and love of Jesus, that as followers of Jesus they might challenge and change their culture and themselves thru lives transformed by Jesus Christ.

#30 - Pray for our servant leaders (KidzMin and CSM staff, Group Leaders, Ministry Team Leaders, etc.)

  • Their personal health-spiritual, emotional, physical and financial.
  • Their marriages.
  • Their children.
  • That they would have compassion for others.
  • For the management of their time and ministry.
  • Authenticity, courage and spiritual discernment among those they serve.
  • Strength and stamina as they assist with many of the physical needs of the body.
  • That they would be godly examples for discipleship and fellowship of God’s Spirit and God’s Word.

#31 - Pray for our Staff Pastors/Elders (Pastor Daniel and Krysten Ballard, Pastor Darryl and Sharon Jones, Elder Michael and Summer Hicks)

  • Their personal health-spiritual, emotional, physical and financial.
  • Their marriages. Their children.
  • That they would be encouraged and edified by the body.
  • That they would have compassion for others.
  • For the management of their time and ministry.
  • That they may walk in the Spirit and in The Word and that they be protected from rather than distracted by the junk around them.
  • That they would pray first and THEN lead in whatever direction the Lord directs them, regardless of the buy in/fall out.
  • That they might be bestowed with wisdom, discernment, patience, joy, unity...and everything else.
  • That they would be godly examples for discipleship and fellowship of God’s Spirit and God’s Word.
