This week's Explorers' lesson is  The First Sin - Week 3

Watch the video below and then ask your child the following questions:

  1. Who gave the beautiful garden to Adam and Eve? God
  2. Why was the serpent evil? It wanted Adam and Eve to disobey God.
  3. Why did Adam and Eve eat the fruit? They listened to the serpent.
  4. What happened to the serpent? God punished it.
  5. Why did Adam and Eve have to leave the garden? They disobeyed God.

Verse: James 1:5 If any of you need wisdom,

ask God for it. …

Talk: Adam and Eve should have listened to God. When can you listen to God?

Pray: That the Holy Spirit helps you listen to God.

Other Parental Resources

As we believe it is our responsibility to supplement your ministry of discipleship @HOME, we believe it is also our job to supplement you with resources to help you be better equipped to disciple your kiddos @HOME. The image to the left of each resource will take you directly to their website.

  • "Focus on the Family is a global Christian Ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. We provide help and resources for couples to build healthy marriages that reflect God's design, and for parents to raise their children according to morals and values grounded in biblical principles."

  • "Our children can grow up smart, athletic, popular and polite but lack a vibrant relationship with Christ. The few hours they spend in church each week can be helpful, but it cannot nurture a faith in our kids that will withstand the trials that are on the horizon. Church alone cannot teach them, we must start at home."

  • MOPS

"Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. That's why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time."
